Kutapira is a percussion ensemble formed in 2005 in East Vancouver\, made up\nof five core members\, ages 25 to 30\, who started playing this fusion of world\nmusic together when they were kids over 15 years ago. Kutapira means\n“sweetness” in the Shona language of Zimbabwe\, a fitting title for a band that\nseamlessly blends Zimbabwean Marimba\, Afro-Cuban & West African\npercussion rhythms along with Reggae\, Samba\, Afrobeat\, Funk\, Jazz\, Cumbia\,\nDisco and Hip Hop.
